Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior filmmaking experience?
No. We welcome complete beginners and experienced creatives alike. Our cohort includes everyone from 18-year-old graduates to 45-year-old career-switchers. What matters is your passion for storytelling.
What equipment do I need to bring?
Just your laptop for writing sessions. All cameras, lenses, lights, microphones, and editing stations are provided by the academy. We believe in equal access to tools.
Is there a second year?
Yes. After completing Year 1, students can audition for a specialization year in Writing-Direction, Cinematography, or Editing. Year 1 graduates receive a Certificate in Filmmaking; Year 2 graduates receive a Diploma.
How are students selected?
Through a written entrance exam and a personal interview with the Program Director. We look for creative potential, storytelling instinct, and commitment. not prior technical skills.
What career support do you provide?
Internship facilitation through Qube Cinema and LevelUp Learning's networks. Job placement support. Festival submissions for the best student films. Access to an alumni network of filmmakers.
Where exactly are the campuses?
Our city campus is at RMZ Millennium Park, Perungudi, Chennai. a modern tech park in the heart of the city. Our main production campus is at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Thandalam. a 30-acre campus with studios, shooting locations, and a Qube-equipped theatre.
Is accommodation available?
Paying guest and rental options are available near the new campus through local agents that QURA can connect students to.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes. The fee of ₹7 Lakhs can be paid in installments. A refundable caution deposit of ₹25,000 is collected separately. Contact us for the full payment schedule.
